49 New Cases Of Virus In Nevada, No Additional Deaths

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Health officials are reporting 49 new cases of the coronavirus in Nevada and no additional deaths from the virus over the preceding 24 hours.

Figures released Monday morning from the Nevada Health and Human Services Department show the rate of new cases continues to decline. In all, Nevada has 6,906 confirmed cases of COVID-19, leading to 350 deaths.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.

For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and death.
