Nevada Representatives Split Along Party Lines In Impeachment Vote

Nevada’s congressional delegation divided along party lines in Wednesday’s impeachment vote in the House of Representatives.

Democratic representatives Dina Titus, Steven Horsford, and Susie Lee voted for both articles of impeachment, while Republican Mark Amodei voted against them.

In a statement Wednesday, Amodei said the value of the institutional integrity of the country should overcome political fanaticism. Amodei said he couldn’t identify a crime by the president meeting sufficient standards of proof.

Congressman Horsford described President Trump as a continuing threat to democracy and a danger to national security.

On Twitter, Congresswoman Titus said she was upholding her oath of office because President Trump violated his.

And in a statement, Congresswoman Lee said it was clear that the president put his personal interests above national security and the constitutional system of checks and balances.
