Las Vegas authorities have confirmed an armored truck fatally struck an 87-year-old man in a motorized shopping cart at a shopping center.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the crash occurred Tuesday in north Las Vegas near Bruce Woodbury Beltway. Detectives say the truck was stopped in front of an entrance to a business as the man driving the cart moved in front of the vehicle.

Detectives say the man and cart were knocked to the pavement as the truck continued forward. A release says bystanders attempted to get the driver's attention.
Authorities say the man was taken to University Medical Center for treatment where he later died.
