Squirrel Abatement Causes School Lockdown

A man with a gun caused a brief lockdown this morning at Dayton Elementary School in Northern Nevada.

It turned out to be a Lyon County employee shooting squirrels at a nearby park.

County Manager Jeff Page says the county is investigating the incident. He says they plan to look for alternative ways to deal with the rodents in the future.
