Homicides In Las Vegas Are Down, But Is Petty Crime On The Rise?

In 2017, Metro police investigated 171 murders, not including the 58 killed in the October 1 shooting on the Strip.

This year, the number has been drastically lower. As of Mid-November, the number stood at 145 homicides, about 15 percent lower.
