A personal injury attorney in Las Vegas has been accused of scheming his clients out of $1.8 million and using the money to pay for gambling and other personal expenses.
Matthew Dunkley is being held on nine theft-related charges and a charge of exploitation of an older or vulnerable person.
A Las Vegas Metropolitan Police detective wrote in his arrest report that Dunkley abused the trust of the victims and misappropriated the funds to live an extravagant lifestyle.

Many of Dunkley’s clients are now on the hook for unpaid medical liens, some of whom owe up to $200,000 and date back to 2012.
