Bitter Cold Moving Into For Nevada On Heels Of Winter Storms

RENO (AP) — Bitter cold is on the heels of a series of winter storms that dropped multiple-feet of snow in the mountains of western Nevada.

The National Weather Service is forecasting single-digit lows across much of northeast Nevada on Tuesday, including 1 degree at Ely and 3 degrees at Elko.

Overnight lows will drop into the mid-to-lower teens at Lake Tahoe Wednesday into Friday, and in the upper teens to mid-20s around Reno.

A chance of snow showers returns to the Reno-Tahoe area mid-week. The low at Elko isn't expected to rise above 15 degrees until the weekend.
