NDOT Warns Of Heavy Traffic During EDC

The Nevada Department of Transportation says to expect even more traffic than usual this weekend for the upcoming Electric Daisy Carnival.

Traffic conditions will worsen when a heavily used section of the Spaghetti Bowl interchange closes in Las Vegas.

Both directions of U.S. Highway 95 will close in the area just below Interstate 15 from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. May 21.

The U.S. 95 onramps and offramps at Martin Luther King Boulevard will also close. The festival begins Friday night at sundown and ends Sunday morning.

EDC organizers decided to hold the valley’s largest even one month earlier than usual because of the extreme heat in June.

With Memorial Day weekend the following weekend, NDOT officials said the closures were unavoidable.
