Caesars Entertainment Won't Test For Marijuana For Most Pre-Employment Screenings

As marijuana becomes less of an issue for some employers, Caesars Entertainment says they will no longer test for the drug in Las Vegas, except for transportation workers.

Excluding pot from drug testing marks the first major shift in workplace drug policies since wide-spread screening began in the 1980s.

With recreational marijuana now legal in Nevada, a tightening labor market has forced a widening variety of companies to no longer test current and prospective new-hires for marijuana use.

MGM Resorts, however, say they are still requiring a pre-employment marijuana test as a part of their hiring process.
