The Clark County Commission deferred a decision this week on what to do with the nonprofit Westcare, a community behavioral health and human services triage center in Las Vegas.
The center has been funded since 2002 through a partnership between state, local government, and hospitals.
The center needs funding to keep its doors open beyond the end of the month. The aim of the triage center is to reduce burden on local emergency rooms and jails.
