Clark County commissioners have postponed the installation of more steel posts along sidewalks on the Las Vegas Strip due to a dispute over whether some workers have been fairly paid.
Tuesday, commissioners were expected to move forward with the bollard installation project but pushed it back two weeks to investigate a complaint by some workers who said they were getting paid at a lower rate than what they were supposed to.
They claim a difference of about $6 or $7 per hour.

The county is unable to continue with the project until the pay dispute is resolved.
Eventually, some 7,000 more bollards will be installed on Las Vegas Boulevard to increase pedestrian safety.
