UNLV was named one of the most diverse campuses in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
For the past two years, UNLV came second on the list but is now in a three-way tie for first in the publication’s Best Ethnic Diversity category released Tuesday.
UNLV has been in the top ten for the past seven years. The Best Ethnic Diversity category identifies colleges where students are most likely to encounter undergraduates from racial or ethnic groups different from their own.

It noted UNLV’s high percentage of Hispanic students, who make up approximately 29 percent of the campus population. More than half of all undergraduate students at UNLV report being part of a racial or ethnic minority.
