Lawsuit Alleges Boulder City PD Altered Dashboard Camera

The Boulder City Police Department has been named in a lawsuit in claims that include wrongful arrest, excessive force, falsifying a police report and altering a dashboard camera.

John Hunt was cited last year for failing to yield to a pedestrian at a crosswalk when police had set up a pedestrian crosswalk enforcement sting. The sting involved the use of a pedestrian decoy, who would cross the street in plain clothes while officers positioned themselves to ticket motorists who did not yield.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that forensic audio experts have said the audio recording of the event was altered, highlighting several locations in the police dashcam audio that could have been altered.
