Upcoming elections in North Las Vegas will have fewer places for people to cast ballots.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports primary and general elections this coming April and June respectively will take place at what the city is calling voting centers rather than at traditional polling places.
The 10 voting centers will be scattered throughout the city limits and will be open to any voter registered in the city, with an additional center open during early voting periods.
This is instead of making voters go to a specific location based on their precinct.
In previous recent elections, the city had more than 20 precinct-based polling places.
The move is projected to save the city some $55,000.
