The Golden Knights are off to great start this season, with some saying they’re in the title hunt.
The league, though, isn’t the NHL, it’s a small-college conference, and the sport isn’t hockey, it’s basketball. And the team is from Albany, New York, not Las Vegas.
The College of St. Rose Golden Knights basketball team is a powerhouse in the Northeast 10 Conference, where it squares off with schools such as the Assumption College Greyhounds and the Southern New Hampshire University Penmen.
The St. Rose Golden Knights team name was cited by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in rejecting a trademark request by the Las Vegas Golden Knights Hockey Team. The patent office deemed the names and logos too similar.
