NV High School Graduation Rates Increase Slightly

High school graduation rates in Nevada are up this year, but still lag behind the national average.

The Las Vegas Sun reports Nevada reported a graduation rate of 72 percent, which is up two percent from the year before.

However, data from the U.S. Department of Education note Nevada is still ten points behind the national average.

Clark County also saw an increase in its graduation rate to 74 percent, which is also about two percent higher than last year.

CCSD says it graduated more students last academic year than ever before.
