The Salt Lake Tribune reports that in races for three open House seats, Democrats have outraised Republicans. The seats had been held by the GOP but Democrats hope to have a shot there to reduce the Republican majority.
Democrats also outraised Republicans in another House seat where an incumbent GOP representative is running for re-election.
Fundraising reports show Democrats in four other House races have come close to outraising incumbent Republican representatives.
In more than a third of the races, candidates are unopposed or only face a third-party challenger.
