The first of three presidential debates is tonight at Hofstra University. But everyone in Nevada knows the last debate before the election will be at UNLV.

So university officials, security personnel and others will be watching closely tonight to learn what they can in preparation for the debate here.

Much of America, of course, will also be watching. It’s believed this debate will get higher ratings than Monday night football.

But what kind of debate will we get? Unchecked lies from the candidates? How will debate moderators rein candidates in to make them answer questions?

And as everyone who watched Matt Lauer on The Today Show may wonder: Will the Donald Trump get cut off as much as Hillary Clinton? Will the moderator actually challenge the candidate’s false answers?

CNN's chief political correspondent Dana Bash joins KNPR's State of Nevada to talk about the candidates, the moderator and what's to come.
