'Party Smart' Helps Prevent Sexual Assault In Nightclubs And Bars

The designated driver idea has become ubiquitous with people heading out to party.

Not only does it allow one person to NOT drink that night, but it reinforces the idea that drinking and driving is not acceptable or safe.

A group in Las Vegas is using that idea to prevent sexual assault and harassment at clubs and parties. Party Smart is a collaboration of the Rape Crisis Center of Southern Nevada, the TAO Group, the Metropolitan Police Department and Uber to make sure that party-goers and nightclub staff see and prevent assault from happening.

They want people to be aware over Labor Day Weekend, when Las Vegas will be filled with partygoers.
