A spokesman for underdog Republican U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle says it's been tough getting signatures supporting her three proposed ballot measures.
Angle spokesman Todd Bailey didn't estimate how many signatures have been collected, but said Wednesday that people "are completely turned off on initiatives" after an effort to repeal Nevada's commerce tax faced a court setback and was later abandoned.
Angle is simultaneously running a long-shot Senate bid and promoting ballot measures to ban Nevada's health insurance exchange, require ID to vote and expand student data privacy protections. PACs supporting those measures reported raising no money this year or last.
She needs more than 55,000 signatures on each petition by June 21 to get them on the ballot.
Angle-backed voter ID and health exchange proposals didn't qualify in 2014.
