"Are We There Yet" Author On Modern Family Vacations

Most people can probably remember a vacation with their family - the good times and - as Clark Griswold could attest - the bad

According to statistics from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, roughly half of the 40 million visitors in 2015 came to Las Vegas with the primary purpose of vacationing. While those numbers aren’t broken down by families, Las Vegas is becoming decidedly more family friendly – evidenced by more entertainment options available than ever before.

Susan Rugh is a history professor at BYU and author of "Are We There Yet? The Golden Age of American Family Vacations" and is giving a talk today at the Neon Museum on the evolution and impact of the family vacation.
