Want To Save $1.5 Million And A Forest? Get Your Ballot Online

Associated Press

In an election year, Clark County spends more than a million dollars sending paper sample ballots through the mail to 750,000 voters.

It’s not the county’s money. It’s your money, tax dollars.

This year, the county is trying something new that it hopes will save $1.5 million.

Instead of mailing out all those ballots, the county wants people to sign up to get their ballots online.

Joe Gloria, Clark County registrar of voters, thinks this may be the first place in the country to try the online system.
