A co-defendant in the federal case involving Nevada cattleman Cliven Bundy was ordered to remain in custody pending trial on charges stemming from an armed standoff against government agents two years ago.
A magistrate judge on Friday ruled Micah McGuire a danger to the community and a risk to skip trial.
McGuire's lawyer, Chris Arabia, says he may appeal.
McGuire is a 31-year-old Army veteran from Chandler, Arizona.
He pleaded not guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas to 13 charges.
He's one of 19 people accused of taking part in a gunpoint confrontation that stopped federal agents from collecting cattle near Bundy's ranch in April 2014. All are now in federal custody.
A judge on Thursday denied a similar request by Bundy for freedom ahead of trial.
