Chinese Company Eyes Las Vegas For Video Game Arena

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Chinese company says Las Vegas is a top location for a proposed arena to host competitive video games.

The Las Vegas Sun reports Beijing-based Ourgame International Holdings Ltd., already runs a similar arena in Beijing and is looking to expand to other countries.

Ourgame is the parent company of the World Poker Tour.

The Chinese video game facility includes a 200-seat arena, a broadcast studio and hundreds of gaming stations.

Company CEO Frank Ng says he would like to see a dozen arenas around the world for electronic sports within three or five years and Las Vegas would be a key spot.

World Poker Tour president Adam Pliska says there have only been early talks about where to locate such an arena in Las Vegas. He says some casinos say they're interested in e-sports.
