A dispute over whether or not tigers could be kept on property in Pahrump has been settled.
The Pahrump Valley Times reports Ray Mielzynski will be allowed to keep the 10 tigers currently on his property there.
The tigers are owned by Karl Mitchell.
In September, Nye County had requested the tigers be removed, and a judge had issued an order mandating their removal within 60 days.
But, in a ruling on Jan. 14, that same judge gave the okay for Mielzynski to continue to house the tigers, and Nye County concurrently voted to deny animal rights activists' appeal to have the tigers removed.
The tigers' housing currently falls under a conditional use permit, which will expire 22 months from now.
