LAS VEGAS (AP) — The National Rifle Association is seizing on GOP debate attention by offering Snapchat users in Nevada a chance to add a political message to their photos directed at former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
The group said its message — "Hey Bloomberg! Don't NYC my Nevada gun rights" — refers to a 2016 state ballot initiative. The short text could be added on top of a person's photo and be available from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. PST.
The message refers to a Nevada ballot initiative requiring private gun sales be done through a licensed gun seller and include a background check.
