GOP's Lynn Stewart Won't Seek Re-Election To Nevada Assembly

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada Republican Lynn Stewart says he won't seek a sixth term in the Assembly.

The 74-year-old lawmaker said Tuesday that he'll retire after his term ends in part to be more available to his wife, who was ill during this spring's legislative session.

He said he's lined up a Republican candidate to seek his seat in Assembly District 22, which includes parts of Henderson and has a slight Republican registration advantage.
