Sen. Reid Offers Parting Remarks To John Boehner

Nevada Senator Harry Reid said today he would miss having John Boehner as Speaker of the House.

The Ohio Republican announced his resignation from the U-S House today, and Reid's office issued a statement saying in part that Boehner never misled Reid in their political dealings, and that Boehner's "word was always good."

Reid also blamed Boehner's resignation on conservative members of the House, saying, " I just think it’s very, very sad that the Tea Party caucus that Republicans leaders embraced to win in 2010 have now taken over control of the party."

Reid concluded by saying Boehner was a good man, and offered to set up a round of golf for him in Las Vegas.
