Philanthropist Susie Lee is running for Congressional District Four a seat held by Rep. Cresent Hardy.

Philanthropist Susie Leeannounced she will run for the congressional seat currently held by freshman Republican Cresent Hardy. Congressional District Four covers a vast amount of land in rural central Nevada, as well as parts of North Las Vegas.

Lee has been the board chair for Communities in Schools of Nevada for several years now, a nonprofit group that helps at-risk children and aims to increase graduation rates. One of her top priorities, she said, will be families and education.

This is Lee’s first run for office, and she will compete in the democratic primary against former assemblywoman Lucy Flores and current state senator Ruben Kihuen.
