Governor Sandoval Taking Trade Mission To Europe This Summer

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval is planning a trade mission to Europe this summer.

State economic development officials say the Republican governor will visit Ireland, England, Poland, Germany and Italy during the trip, which is scheduled for July 18-Aug. 2.

The focus will be on spurring industries including advanced manufacturing, water technology, mining, information technology and hospitality.

Steve Hill of the Governor's Office of Economic Development said about 60 or 70 people will be part of the Nevada delegation, including business and higher education officials who are paying their own way.

Sandoval's past trade missions have included trips to Mexico, Canada, Israel and China.
