Reported NV Exposures To E-Cigs, Liquid Nicotine Up

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The number of exposures to e-cigarettes and liquid nicotine reported to Nevada's Poison Control has gone up.

KSNV-TV reports the agency reported 44 exposure cases in 2014, which was twice the number of cases reported in 2013.

Maria Azzarelli, of the Southern Nevada Health District, says exposures to the skin or ingestion of the liquid nicotine can cause increased heart rate, burning, and even death in some cases.
