NV Police Say New Year's Eve Was Pretty Quiet

Police say they made few arrests during major New Year's Eve street celebrations in Nevada.

Las Vegas police reported 22 arrests during a night that saw hundreds of thousands of celebrants flood the Strip and downtown.

Reno police made only four arrests during downtown festivities, while Douglas County sheriff's deputies arrested just 11 people in the Stateline casino area on Lake Tahoe's south shore.

Douglas County deputies say Stateline arrests were for battery, disorderly conduct, DUI, possession of a dangerous drug and a minor consuming alcohol.

In Reno, arrests were made for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and disorderly conduct.
