Sanchez Approved As UNLV Football Head Coach

The Nevada Board of Regents this afternoon approved the hiring of Tony Sanchez as UNLV’s head football coach. The four year deal has an annual salary of $500,000 and lots of incentives.

Sanchez won six straight state titles at Bishop Gorman and is making the rare jump from high school to college head coach.  He’s the Rebels’ 11th head coach, replacing Bobby Hauck, who resigned effective Dec. 1 after five years in the job.
