Median Las Vegas-Area Home Price Back Above $200K

Southern Nevada real estate agents say the area's median home price has climbed back above the $200,000 mark in November.

The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors reported Tuesday that the median home price of $202,000 is up 1.1 percent from October, and up 10.4 percent from the same time a year ago.

Association chief Heidi Kasama says real estate agents are selling fewer properties overall each month, but more in the higher price brackets.

She says she expects the housing market to remain fairly stable through 2015.

Home prices remain well below their June 2006 peak of $315,000, but above their January 2012 trough of $118,000.

The total number of homes sold in November was nearly 2,500, down about 400 from October.
