NV Supreme Court Fast-Tracks Uber Venue Issue

The Nevada Supreme Court is fast-tracking a ruling on whether state courts in Reno or Las Vegas should properly hear an attempt by state taxi regulators to prevent ride-sharing company Uber Technologies from operating in the state.

Three justices said they want written arguments on the venue question by noon Friday. Washoe County District Court Judge Scott Freeman in Reno issued a temporary order for Uber to stop operating, while Clark County District Court Judge Douglas Herndon in Las Vegas did not.
