Jobs Open On New NV Court of Appeals

Nevada voters on Tuesday approved the creation of a Nevada Court of Appeals, which may begin considering cases as early as January, and the Nevada Commission on Judicial Selection is accepting applications for three open judicial positions on the court through Nov. 12.

The names of applicants will be posted on the commission’s website daily, and the public portion of each application will be posted soon after Nov. 12.

Jay Bartos joined Nevada Public Radio in 1993 to develop and manage the state’s first radio reading service for people unable to use standard printed material due to blindness or another disability. After the reading service was discontinued in 2011, he became the afternoon host on KNPR for ten years. Jay can now be heard on air on News 88.9 KNPR and Classical 89.7 KCNV throughout the week.
