Get Paid To Vote Thanks To Nevada Law

Employees in Nevada are entitled to up to three hours of paid time off for voting -- as long as their polling place is several miles from where they work.

There's another catch too: Employees must notify their bosses the day before Election Day if they plan to take time off. State law dictates how much time off you are entitled to, and it all depends on the distance between your work and your voting site.

The point of the law is to encourage Nevadans to vote. By law, your boss can't say no.
