Clark County Sets Medical Marijuana Regulations

The Clark County Commission on Tuesday unanimously approved its first set of medical marijuana regulations. The 40-pages of regulations cover all aspects of the industry in unincorporated areas, including dispensaries, cultivation facilities, production facilities, and laboratories.

In June, the county approved 18 applicants for dispensaries and 58 permits for cultivation facilities, 38 permits for production facilities and five permits for testing laboratories.  All of those still need state approval.

Each medical marijuana establishment, except the laboratories, would pay a quarterly license fee based on earnings. Per quarter, the owner would pay 1 percent on gross revenues under $150,000, 2 percent on gross revenues of over $150,000 to $400,000, and 3 percent on gross revenues that exceed $400,000.
