Should Children Have Access To Automatic Weapons?

Some tourists come to Las Vegas  specifically to enjoy the thrill of firing a gun. Automatic weapons offer a particular kick, since most civilians don’t have access.

But even the most enthusiastic gun hobbyist might scratch his head at the thought of a 9-year-old child firing an Uzi, which is what happened last Monday at an Arizona shooting range, with fatal results.

A still unnamed New Jersey girl accidentally killed her instructor when she lost control of an automatic weapon and shot him in the head.

In a country where the second amendment is widely embraced and in a city where guns are not only tolerated but celebrated, how do we prevent tragedies like the one that happened in Arizona?
