Overnight another big deal for a new resort on the Las Vegas Strip was announced.
Australian billionaire James Packer announced that his company Crown Resorts will build a new casino on the site of the New Frontier.
An Israeli-based consortium paid more than $1 billion for that same land before the crash.
Crown and its partners are now taking advantage of that mistake because they were able to buy the land for much less than the Israelis paid.
So when can we expect construction to begin? And what kind of resort will it be?

You won’t find a paywall here. Come as often as you like — we’re not counting. You’ve found a like-minded tribe that cherishes what a free press stands for. If you can spend another couple of minutes making a pledge of as little as $5, you’ll feel like a superhero defending democracy for less than the cost of a month of Netflix.
