Burning Man, the desert happening that celebrates radical self expression, has been postponed due to rain. Organizers say the roads leading to the playa are undrivable, and that Burning Man activities will be postponed.
The official Burning Man web site suggest that participants check regularly with weather channels, and come prepared to deal with the elements.
Each year, the festival attracts upwards of 60,000 people, who pay as much as $1,000 for a ticket. This year attendance is capped at 68,000 people.
You won’t find a paywall here. Come as often as you like — we’re not counting. You’ve found a like-minded tribe that cherishes what a free press stands for. If you can spend another couple of minutes making a pledge of as little as $5, you’ll feel like a superhero defending democracy for less than the cost of a month of Netflix.
