Summer is almost over and you haven't had the chance to take a trip out of town. Well, there's still a little bit of time, and a lot of destinations not far from Las Vegas.
This year, there are unique opportunities to enjoy Nevada history. The state is celebrating its 150th birthday with concerts, exhibits and special events. And there are also a number of ghost towns that are open for hiking and exploration.
