A former UNLV and NBA player's bid to build a billion dollar sports arena and resort on the Las Vegas Strip has cleared a key regulatory hurdle. Clark County Commission members approved a zone change Wednesday, but still plan a hearing about possible traffic snarls that could result from the 22,000-seat All Net Resort and Arena -- backed by businessman Jackie Robinson.
The concert venue will also include a nightclub, restaurant and retail plaza. At one time, there was a waterpark on the 27-acre site on Las Vegas Boulevard, just south of Sahara avenue.
