Two Swimmers Missing At Lake Mead

Crews are searching for two swimmers who went missing during a gusty weekend at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

Just before noon one man jumped off a boat south of Willow Beach to swim, and never returned. The second man went missing just after 2 p.m. while swimming near Boulder Islands on Lake Mead.

Park rangers are working with Metro’s Search and Rescue dive team to search for the men. Winds had been gusting between 20 and 30 mph throughout the afternoon.
