There was quite of a bit of lightning overnight across the Las Vegas Valley. But it was even more intense around Venice Beach in Southern California on Sunday – when 14 people were struck by lightning during rare summer thunderstorms there. One man died while most of the others were treated and released.
At the time, some were in the water and others on the boardwalk. Another man was struck around the same time on a golf course on Catalina Island.
