The long-time executive director of the Western Folklife Center in Elko has announced he's stepping down. Charlie Seemann says he'll retire July 31 after 16 years on the job. But he intends to continue to be a regular at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering he's helped oversee each January for a decade and a half.
The center is launching a national search for a new director.
