Regulators Fine Aria Casino

Regulators have approved a $100,000 fine for the Aria casino, after state agents said they were shooed away from a high-stakes roulette table.  A complaint filed in February said two state agents who had not identified themselves were watching high rollers play roulette when a supervisor told them that the players didn't want to be watched, and threatened to call security. State law requires all gambling to be open to the public.

The Nevada Gaming Commission approved the settlement with the resort on Thursday. Aria said it educated employees about the law after the complaint was filed.
