Judge To Man Who Aims Lasers At Aircraft: Get A Job

A 30-year-old Nevada man who pleaded guilty to aiming a laser pointer at Las Vegas police helicopters will be released from federal custody as he awaits sentencing.

A U.S. Magistrate Judge on Monday ordered Henderson resident James Zipf to get a job and stop using laser pointers.

Zipf pleaded guilty last month to one of six felony counts of aiming a laser pointer at an aircraft. His sentencing is set for Sept. 25.
