Wild horse advocates are fighting back against Nevada ranchers. The American Wild Horse Preservation is challenging a lawsuit by the Nevada Farm Bureau Federation and Nevada Association of Counties. That suit asked a judge to force the gathering of thousands of more mustangs to help livestock be able to compete for water and grazing territory.
The Wild Horse Preservation wants the judge to drop the suit asking the judge to hold the ranchers to the same standard used in rejecting roundup challenges in the past. Courts have consistently concluded that they lack the authority to overrule the BLM's expertise. The preservation filed their motion in Reno last Thursday.
