Process Of Dismantling Harmon Tower Begins

The Harmon Hotel Tower is coming down right now - but who's noticing? Crews have started taking down the structurally flawed building. In the first phase workers will remove scrap metal and other materials from inside the tower. A crane will go up in the coming weeks to begin dismantling the building. The Harmon was supposed to be a 48-story tower as part of the City Center Complex. But inspectors found flaws in the steel reinforcements. The trial to determine who is liable for the defects is set for September. The dismantling of the tower will take roughly a year.
